a lover of words.

My name is Morgan Conner (formerly Johnson) and I am the owner, founder, CEO, and resident words girl behind The Modest Journal. I am a 28-year-old, married to my best friend, mother of five fur babies and one human baby (on the way), avid reader, with terrible luck, and a sappy word lover. 

My therapist has told me that I have a way with words,  great comedic timing, that I shouldn't always deflect with humor, and that I should write a book. Yes, I think she really means it. It means a lot to me because I humbly agree.

Logophile is a pretty good way to describe me. With my Love Language being Words of Affirmation,  a story lover and teller, as well as someone who loves to inspire others, I figured that a blog just might be a good way to culminate the things I love into one place and find joy in the madness.  I hope that my words can impact you, inspire you, or at least make you consider an alternative perspective.

John Lennon once said, "Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans." My life is NOT how I planned it to be, but I wouldn't have it any other way.  I am just an ordinary girl and this is my Modest Journal.
